Handmade wooden toys and other children’s wooden products such as pencil boxes, moneyboxes and mobiles are so much more durable than those made from plastic – if they should break they can be mended with glue.  They can be painted in bright colours or left natural and appeal to the inner child in all of us.  Wood is a tactile substance with inner warmth that nurtures, a feeling that cannot be replicated with plastic.  Children don’t need battery operated toys, brand images and electronic sounds for enjoyment - the simplicity of handmade wooden toys will aid the development of their imagination, live on in their memories and may even be passed down to future generations.
